JPLG - National Gender cluster coordination meeting at district level in Buroa - Togdheer
The Director-General of the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs and Family, Hon. Abdirashid Ibrahim Sh. Abdirahman has officially opened National Gender cluster coordination meeting at district level in Buroa, Togdheer Region with the presence of MESAF regional coordinator, the Buroa municipality authority and the ministry’s gender partners.
Women’s Participation in Local governments, gender equality in municipalities, women economic empowerment, GBV and government interventions towards the engagement of women and young girls were among the agenda. The ministry is implementing UNDP’s gender equality and women empowerment in local government project which is under the Joint UN Project of the JPLG.
