The Ministry of Employment, Social affairs and Family (MESAF) conducted two days job fair at Borama Awdal region, Somaliland from 10th to 11st May 2023. This Job fair brought organized around 25 employers including business sectors, private banks, NGO,S , UN Agencies, Transportation companies, industries , communication companies , universities and government agencies, while more than 1500 youth job seekers across the western regions also be present at in the event to benefit the opportunity. Somaliland JOB Fair is an event aims which the job seekers meet representatvies of public, private & non-governmental institutions & get access to a series of services included but not limited to, business grand, internship and job placement opportunities, information sharing related to vacant positions and counseling. Job fair as well as provides to job seekers crucial information by potential employers. Job fair reduces cost and time for advert of recruitment of vacant positions. It can serve as an incentive to promote decent work conditions. Such opportunities were included business provision of startup grants, and job opportunities, as well as labor market information dissemination.
