Supply Chain Officer
The Role:
The position holder will facilitate a timely and transparent procurement processes. With guidance from the Supply Chain Coordinator and the Finance and Support Services Manager, the incumbent will consolidate procurement planning, track procurement processes and provide regular updates to management for decision-making purposes. With support from Supply Chain Coordinator, the position holder will monitor market conditions to ensure the program obtains the best quality goods and services at the best prices. The incumbent will provide technical guidance to World Vision staff members, implementing partners and supplier and vendors to ensure accountable and efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate timely procurement.
- Coordinate procurement planning.
- Monitor and advise of on-going procurement.
- Coordinate Procurement Committee meetings and produce timely minutes.
- Monitor market conditions to ensure organization gets good quality goods at the best prices.
- Maintain good record keeping for accountability purposes.
- Promote awareness of World Vision policy and process.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure staff members and external partner have a good understanding of our processes and systems to facilitate efficient implementation.
