National Job Fair 2023
Somaliland National JOB Fair is an event aims which the job seekers meet representatives of public, private & non-governmental institutions & get access to a series of services included but not limited to, business grand, internship and job placement opportunities, information sharing related to vacant positions and counseling. Job fair as well as provides to job seekers crucial information by potential employers. Job fair reduces cost and time for advert of recruitment of vacant positions. It can serve as an incentive to promote decent work conditions.National job Fair has clear objectives and as follows:
- Job fair event organized and attended by potentially selected employers and vetted young job seekers.
- Youth are connected to employers, mentors and job opportunities.
- Youth have found paid jobs (employment) directly via job fairs.
- Youth have found internships via the job fair.
- A comprehensive panel discussion about Employment opportunities in Somaliland
- To create an environment that meet for job seekers and employers,
- To start up small business grand’s for youth who have great ideas for business,
- To hold and respond the unemployment rate,
- To provide the job seekers for useful information relevant to job vacancies,
- To implement the principles of National policies and laws related employment issues ,
Expected Outputs and Deliverables
- A two days long Job fair event organized. And being attended by employers and young job seekers.
- Minimum 2000 youth are attending job fairs (Joint number of participants)
- Minimum of 40 companies are attending the job. These companies range from telecommunications/technology to investment and trade, constructions , industry companies
- 1000 youth placed in apprenticeship and internships
- 100 Direct jobs Created in the job fair event.
- 100 business grants provide by employment stakeholders attended job fair event 2023
