Project Officer – Nutrition
The Role:
The Project Officer – Nutrition will oversee the field level implementation of Nutrition project activities in target location as per national and international standards. The position holder will also be responsible for the supervision and support of nutrition supervisors and will work closely with commodity team to ensure the commodities received from WFP are managed properly. S/he will ensure that the community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) is functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality and timely implementation of project activities
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Quality and timely reporting
- Capacity building
- Finance and budget management
- Support Project Manager- Health and Nutrition in the development of project management tools at the start of nutrition projects.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public health or any other related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in supervising implementation of nutrition/health projects in emergency response context with extensive government engagement experience.
- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail with an analytic approach to work.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours.

Working Environment:
The position is field-based in Hargeisa, Somaliland with frequent travel to other target project locations.
