The role will facilitate the targeting of groups to be engaged in Resilience for Livelihood Project Agriculture, Livelihoods, Livestock & Rangeland Management, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Natural Resource Management (NRM) activities. The role holder will understand and break down the project objectives so as to ensure timely and quality control throughout the project life cycle. S/he will participate in monitoring and evaluation, activity reporting and documentation. S/he will organize and implement capacity building activities for Agro pastoralist/Pastoralist and Peri-urban Community/Community Groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Security & Livelihoods Program Development, Implementation and Coordination.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Documentation.
Staff Capacity Building.
Managing effective relationships with stakeholders (Donors, Government departments, UN, NGOs, CBO etc.)
Reporting, Communication and representation (Internal and external)
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
University degree in Agriculture/ Rangeland Management/ Natural Resource Management/ Dry Land Farming/ Disaster Preparedness and Environmental Technology or related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in Food Security Livelihood project implementation, monitoring and evaluation with INGO in complex humanitarian context;
Knowledgeable of computer Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in project documentation and reporting.
Working Environment:
The position is field-based in Hargeisa, Somaliland with frequent travel to other target project locations.
