Launched Sign Language Interpreters Training Initiative - a program that will train 500 Sign Language Interpreters
The Hearing impaired community in Somaliland has been experiencing exclusion from social services including health, education & other essential services due to the absence of sign language communication. To fill the gap, the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs, and Family has launched Sign Language Interpreter's Training Program.The program is committed to training 500 sign language interpreters within two years to address effectively the problems evolving people with hearing impairment, and the 1st Cohort will start their sessions Next Week - on the 23rd of July, 2022.
