Position: HR/Admin Assistant
Location: Hargeisa
Are you an organized, dedicated, and professional HR/Admin Assistant looking for a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of communities affected by violence and insecurity?
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Hargeisa, with occasional travel to other Programme areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Office and General Administration:
Draft formal letters and documents in Somali/English for administrative purposes.
Provide administration support to MAG contractors while in the MAG office.
Maintain efficient and up-to-date filing systems (paper and electronic) for office records and documents.
Handle correspondence, emails, and calls.
Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Manage the Hargeisa guest house and office supplies.
Assist in budget tracking and expense reporting.
Prepare reports, presentations, and documents as required.
Maintain a clean and well-organized office environment.
Human Resources:
Assist in recruitment processes, including job advertisements and coordinating interviews.
Onboard new employees and maintain employee records.
Handle employee inquiries and provide advice on HR policies.
Assist in performance appraisal and employee development programmes.
Support managers with employee relations issues.
Assist in HR policy and procedure compliance and updates.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Minimum graduate level or proven extensive work training in relevant fields.
At least three years of previous experience in an HR and administration role.
Previous NGO experience is an asset.
Good communication skills and a pleasant personality.
Procedural and legal knowledge in administrative and finance functions.
Organized, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure.
Computer literacy, including experience with Windows software and email systems.
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
High motivation, reliability, and good time management.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and spoken English & Somali.
