Elimination of female genital mutilation.

Conditions caused by COVID-19 have led to an increase in the persistence of female genital mutilation practices that are harmful to girls’ health and psychological well-being. In response, the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs and Family Affairs has launched an awareness campaign on the dangers of female genital mutilation, and today conducted a training for women leaders in ending female genital mutilation in the State House neighborhood of Hargeisa.
