Job DescriptionThe Role Summary:
The role will ensure timely and safe support to field team operations. S/he will drive field teams in support of operations and undertake courier/ liaison services as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive project personnel and authorised persons to various destination as instructed;
Collect and deliver documents to various destinations as instructed;
Complete monthly motor vehicle movement reports;
Ensure good keeping and adherence to travel schedules;
Ensure basic vehicle safety and security equipment is in the vehicle at all times;
Alert management of shortfalls/lack of safety & security equipment in vehicles;
Undertake regular radio checks and respect convoy procedures;
Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and code;
Monitor vehicle’s condition, informing management in the event of malfunction/repair;
Maintain general cleanliness and serviceability of vehicle;
Monitor security context and provide updates and advice to field teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Secondary education (O-level)
Valid driving license
5 years of experience in a similar job preferably in the NGO sector
Certificate in defensive driving from a reputable organization will be an added advantage

The position is field-based in Hargeisa, Somaliland with frequent travel to other target project locations
