About SOS Children’s Villages

 SOS Children’s Villages is a global federation of 136 national SOS Children’s Villages associations, working in more than 2000 program locations worldwide. We work together with a single vision: every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security.

Uniquely, we provide long-term, family-like care for children who have lost parental care (alternative care service), and we work with vulnerable families and communities to help strengthen them and prevent child abandonment (family strengthening service, FS). SOS alternative care is usually organized in the form of a cluster of SOS families, where each SOS parent cares for small group of children.

SOS Children's Villages Somaliland is a non-governmental social development organisation that has been active in the field of children's rights and committed to children's needs and concerns since 1999

SOS Children's Villages in Somaliland is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan NGO that has been operating since 1999. Its goal is to provide a family environment for children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing care of their families. The organization operates in Five regions of Somaliland and implements various programs, including child care, child protection, youth empowerment and participation, education, and emergency interventions.

SOS Children’s villages in Somaliland intends to prequalify eligible individual consultants, firms and team leaders to provide various consultant services required for the implementation of the humanitarian interventions in Somaliland during the period November 2023 TO November 2025. 

INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION FOR CONSULTANCY
SERVICES

§  SOS Children’s villages in Somaliland invites potential vendors to submit sealed applications for prequalification for consultant services for the financial years November 2023 to November 2025.

§  To be eligible, the candidate must prove that they qualify to participate in a procurement exercise by providing the requested mandatory documents.

§  Submitted hard copies should be deposited into the tender box situated at relevant area offices.

§  Email submission will be considered (if only the document is sealed and zipped). 

§  The tenders will be opened thereafter by the Procurement Committee.

§  This prequalification does not amount to any contractual obligation on the part of SOS Children’s villages in Somaliland and is not obliged to invite any quotations from any of the candidates who have expressed their interest by responding to this invitation.

§  SOS Children’s villages in Somaliland has the right to invite bid for consultant services in any of the categories as and when required.

§  SOS Children’s villages in Somaliland reserves the right to accept or reject any application without giving a reason.

Interested eligible and qualified consultants are invited to apply for pre-qualification for the below services: 

Category-01: Company/Firm

• Detailed company/firm profile indicating the type of business/consultancy, verifiable previous experiences, number of staff and the profiles/CVs of lead consultants and co-lead consultant per subject area and contacts details (physical address of the company, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, contact persons) 
• Firm to state the locations in Somaliland it operates in and the field the company has expertise (research and assessments (Health, Economic Security (food security, early recovery), and Water and Habitat (shelter, WASH) and etc.
• Copies of valid tax registration certificates and business licenses. 
• List of verifiable previous experiences including names and contacts of known Clients that have received this type of service from the consultancy firm.
